“saver wolf”

Cristiana lately has been a “saver wolf who lives in the North Pole with her family”. I think she wants to come back to Port Alsworth, Menda! (That would be Alaska for those who don’t know.) She has also been very fascinated with totem poles. She has a book about them that the Fowlers gave her, and she loves to talk about them. She draws them and makes them out of her stickers. It is so fun to watch her tell the stories too about how the animals got where they did on the totem pole.

Anyway, this morning she decided that she wanted a “wolf costume”. So, she cut out all of these pieces . . . one at a time, and had me tape them on her . . . one at a time. It was so much fun. She is so very creative! She wanted the face, wiskers, eye brows, ears (can you see them?), claws “on all four feet, Mama”, and “long long tail”.

And, even now she is cutting out a kite and asking for a kite rope to tape to it. She is drawing on it what it is supposed to look like, in her mind’s eye.
