The whole deal with growing her hair out she got from Halley, Angie’s second born. Halley just turned four, on the 11th of February, and has never “officially” had her hair cut. It is almost (if not already) down to her waist. (She cut a bit off the other day when we were there, unbeknownst to her mom at that moment!) Cristiana really liked it, and now wants to grow hers “long like Halley’s”. But, here is the deal . . . if she complains about me combing out the knots, then it gets cut. If she cannot keep it out of her food, then it gets cut. If . . . then it gets cut. She has been such a trooper with it all, and does not complain. She will even say, with a bit of a grimace, “I am not complaining Mama!” how cute. We’ll see how long it lasts. I really like it shorter, but we’ll try this for a bit, at least. It is what she wants.

Katie: dark hair and still has dark blue eyes. They look brown in this photo, but they are still dark blue. She looks so much like Cristiana did at this age, other than the hair and eye color. It is amazing. It has also been fun to watch some more “Moyer/Rush” features show themselves. She definitely has more of a “Rush” (Rod’s Mom) nose, a little taller bridge, as opposed to Cristiana not having much of a bridge (more like me). She likes to sleep with her hands up by her face, all curled up and cute.
Cristiana’s latest nickname for her is “sweet pea”. Daddy’s latest is “Kates”, he used to call her “squeaks” because she makes the cutest little squeaking sounds. And, of course, she is also now called “little one” since Cristiana is now “big one”. She relinquished that name to her younger sister.

The other morning I was trying to explain to Cristiana that sometimes I am with her when Katie is crying or needs me, and sometimes I am with Katie when Cristiana is crying or needs me. And, that now that there are two of them, that is the way life is going to be. Cristiana said, “I am glad that I am the first born. When you had me you were always with me when I cried.” Very observant!
When Katie cries, if she goes too long, Cristiana will also start crying. The other day when that happened, both Rod and I just started laughing, there was nothing more we could do. Katie had been crying, Cristiana bonked her head (or foot, or little toe, or something!) and started crying. Katie stopped and listened and then started crying again. That is when Rod and I just started laughing. I guess it was comic relief in the middle of it all.
