Oh, poor little one, or, as Cristiana has been calling her, “sweet pea”, Katie is of the gassy sort. She starts out well in the mornings, with no signs of discomfort. But, as the day progresses, and she gets more milk in her belly and has a very poor habit of not burping, she just goes downhill by the evening. We were all amazed at the way that she would not hardly burp for the first week and a half of life outside the womb.
So, we are still trying to figure out a good routine for her, to help her not have this issue. And, of course, it is just part of life for a newborn. But, it is hard to watch, and to be a part of when there is nothing that I can do to help her discomfort.
But, alas, all part of life . . .
