. . . DEFINITELY one of her favorite things! Cristiana is found at her desk drawing more often than not. The best $20 that we spent on her? The large, but short, table with four chairs. Give the girl a gel pen (colored pencil, regular pen, whatever) and a blank piece of paper, or better yet a blank book of pages (she is all into making books right now), maybe some tape, and she will be busy for HOURS!

I bought a bunch of art books last year at a home school conference curriculum fair and just pulled them out the other day. (I was waiting until she was over her drawing-cutting-painting-in-her-books phase. Because she ruined more books that way!)
She has now moved into a new stage of her art. Before she would just draw, and some very detailed drawings at that, but now she is coloring them in after she draws them. She is seeing in the books that the color is important too.
Gotta love watchin’ a kid learn! (THAT is one of the reasons why we home school!!)
