Thursday night she wanted to start packing! : -) I told her we would wait until Saturday afternoon for that. By the time that Saturday afternoon arrived, she was so excited. She started going around the house picking up things that she wanted to take. I finally got her to understand that she only needed to take her toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, pjs, chupis, clothes for Sunday, and “stinky pilly” (as is her favorite thing in the world, her pillowcase, does not matter if it is clean or dirty it is still called that). I told her she had to wait until 5.00pm to walk over. That was the hardest half hour that a kid had to endure.
She told me that she was going to walk over by herself, that she did not need me to help. Oh, she is so grown up! I did walk her over, though, just to make sure she got there, and did not get distracted with something else and end up playing with some other kids.
Packing . . . (notice the dog in one photo and it’s “gone” in the next). I know this was probably going overboard, but the concentration on her face was incredible!

Here she is just outside the door and on her way, complete with “stinky pilly” . . . She had a mouth sore and did not want to smile. Later I found out she had one of those nasty mouth ulcers down in the bottom of her gums and I did not see it. Poor thing!

And, walking down the compound to her very first sleep over. How fun!

Teah even had a special bed set up for Cristiana. As soon as we got there, Teah showed the room to Cristiana and they started to jump up and down all over . . . so excited!
