cristiana’s nairobi birthday party

Cristiana turned five when we were in Doha. All of the kids that she wanted to invite to her party were sick. We did not want to add any kind of stomach flu or whatever was going on, so we stayed away. She did get to have a little play date with Hava and Acacia Beaty (I need to find those pix and do a post!).

So, we talked about having one here when we got home. It was a little late, but better late than never. Two months after her birthday, we had some kids over for cake and ice cream.

The highlight of the party was definitely the cake. Dora the Explorer showed up in all of her Latin finery! Jodi and Hannah Keller did a bang up job on this beautiful cake. They are quite the professionals!

Cristiana blowing out the candles. The wind was so strong that it was hard to keep them lit!

Playing with something on the grass . . . not sure what, but looked fun.
