Sunday morning both Cristiana and I were tired. She had been clingy, whiny, and wanting to be in my lap most of the morning -- other than when she went to her Sunday School class that she loves. As soon as we got home, we ate, and went right to bed for naps.
Rod got home at 2.00pm from his weekend flight. When Cristiana woke up, she did not yet know that he was home. Someone came to the door and knocked. Cristiana heard it from her room and came out to see who it was -- she always likes to answer the door. She saw that Daddy was home, looked into the room at me (I was still laying in bed), and shivered with delight! I mean she SHIVERED!!! It was so cute. She whispered, “Daddy is home, I’m gonna hide.” She was beside herself with excitement.
She got straight under our bed, which is really tall, and waited for him to come and find her. He came upstairs and acted like he did not know where she was. I pointed down that she was under the bed. He came over and ducked under the bed to find her. She squealed!
Oh, the delights of our little girl!
