We have been back in Nairobi now for just a week, and finally getting back into the swing of things.
Cristiana is growing like a weed. I no longer have to bend down, even a bit, to put the clips in her hair. One morning when we were in Alaska, she grew -- overnight I guess I should say. She does that every so often on me! :-)
When we returned to Nairobi, we were all really excited to be back home. It was really neat when we flew over Sudan and Ethiopia, Rod had a huge smile on his face, and said, “I recognize those clouds.” Then when we were landing, Cristiana pointed out the window, looking out into the darkness of the African night, and said, “Look, Mama, do you see that yellow light? That is our house. And, do you see Osa (our Rottweiler)? She is jumping up and down and is exciting!” (not excited, but exciting!) Then, a few minutes later she said, “Look, Mama, at the orange light, that is where I was born!”
It was really good to be home. We all really missed it here, which is a first since we have lived here. Rod and I are both thankful that we are really feeling at home here now. It is a good feeling!
